When it comes to the process of digital manufacturing, we are looking for candidates who have a deep understanding of the following key areas:
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is essential. Candidates should be skilled in creating detailed 3D models and drawings that accurately represent the desired product or component. Knowledge of parametric design principles and the ability to optimize designs for manufacturing is highly valued.
Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools is important. Candidates should be able to perform virtual testing and analysis to ensure the structural integrity, performance, and manufacturability of the product. Experience in finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and other simulation techniques is advantageous.
Understanding the role of robotics and automation in the digital manufacturing process is valuable. Candidates with knowledge of robotic systems, automated assembly lines, and programming languages for industrial automation are highly sought after. Familiarity with collaborative robots (cobots) and the integration of robotic systems into manufacturing workflows is a plus.
